Launch of the "Our Environment, Our Responsibility" Campaign

Kuwait, September 1, 2024 – Under the slogan "Our Environment, Our Responsibility," a comprehensive environmental campaign was launched today to raise environmental awareness among all segments of society.

This campaign stands out by utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) to translate its awareness messages into four major languages: Arabic, Hindi, Filipino, and English, ensuring the message reaches the widest possible audience.

The initiative aims to encourage citizens and residents to adopt sustainable practices that contribute to environmental protection through a series of diverse activities and events. The campaign focuses on promoting recycling, conserving natural resources, and reducing plastic use, emphasizing the concept of shared responsibility for the environment.

This campaign aligns with Kuwait’s ongoing efforts to achieve sustainable development goals, reaffirming the country's commitment to environmental protection and ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.

Insan Academy Celebrates the Graduation of Its Fourth Cohort of Islamic Studies Students

In a joyous and honorable evening, Insan Charity Association hosted a celebration to honor a distinguished group of graduates from Insan Academy. The event was attended by ambassadors, representatives of charitable government institutions, scholars, and students of knowledge.

The ceremony began with a recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a speech from Sheikh Dr. Othman Al-Khamees, Chairman of Insan Charity Association. He welcomed all attendees and expressed his pride in the graduation of the fourth cohort of students, who have demonstrated dedication in their pursuit of knowledge. He emphasized the value of these short but intensive academic programs, praying that the graduates become callers to Islam with wisdom and good counsel, and serve as ambassadors of this great religion. He concluded by thanking all contributors, especially the Zakat House and the General Secretariat of Endowments, for their support.

Dr. Adel Al-Mutairat, Vice Chairman of the Board, spoke about Islam’s deep respect for knowledge and the efforts of Muslim scholars throughout history in seeking it. He highlighted Insan Charity’s mission in spreading knowledge and facilitating its acquisition through educational courses and academies, extending his gratitude to all supporters.

Dr. Khaled Shujaa Al-Otaibi, Board Secretary, stated that Insan Charity has prioritized education from its inception, supporting learning at all levels—from early education and youth programs like Insan Club and Insan Academy to advanced studies through institutions such as Uganda University.

Mubarak Al-Azmi, Executive Director of the Association, presented an overview of Insan Charity’s key achievements and strategic projects, both in Kuwait and internationally. These include developmental cities, universities, academies, scientific centers, and various programs serving individuals and communities.

Sheikh Abdullah Ajil Al-Azmi, Supervisor of Insan Academy, emphasized that the academy welcomes students from various countries who meet the admission criteria and pass the entrance examination. The academy provides housing, full care, and necessary resources, allowing students to focus entirely on their studies.

Finally, the event marked the graduation of the fourth cohort, who successfully completed 318 hours of intensive training in Quranic studies, Hadith, Aqeedah, Fiqh, Usul (Islamic jurisprudence principles), Arabic grammar, and more.

Inauguration of Insan International University in the Republic of Uganda

Enhancing Endowment and Educational Projects Beyond Kuwait

In line with its strategic goals and commitment to expanding educational initiatives both locally and internationally, Insan Charity Association—a Kuwaiti public-benefit charitable organization officially registered with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor—has officially launched the new identity of Insan International University in Uganda.

During the graduation ceremony of the university’s students in Uganda, the International Relations and External Projects team, alongside members of the Board of Directors of Insan Charity Association, officially inaugurated the university’s new identity.

The ceremony was attended by:
🔹 Sheikh Dr. Khaled Shujaa Al-Otaibi, Chairman of Insan University in Uganda
🔹 Sheikh Dr. Shaban Ramadan Mubajje, President of the Supreme Islamic Council
🔹 Senior officials and the university’s executive management

The university’s Board of Directors has approved its new vision and identity, marking another significant milestone in achieving the university’s strategic objectives over the next five years.

A Pioneering Kuwaiti Initiative in Global Charitable Education

This achievement adds to Kuwait’s distinguished track record in charitable work, reinforcing its global impact in humanitarian efforts. It reflects Insan Charity Association’s dedication to sustainable educational projects that empower individuals and communities through education, innovation, and knowledge investment.

The launch of the Insan International University brand in Uganda aligns with the association’s mission to uplift the communities it serves, in accordance with its vision: "Elevating Humanity through Knowledge and Values."

In a professional achievement that adds to the successes of Kuwaiti charitable efforts, Insan Charity Association becomes the first charity to receive the ISO 37000:2021 GO certification for Organizational Governance and the ABMS 37001:2016 certification for Anti-Bribery Management.
