Irtiqa – Al-Salam Mosque | Brazil (Phase One)

The Irtiqa Project in Brazil aims to support and strengthen the Muslim community by establishing an Islamic center in Santana do Livramento, accommodating 450 worshippers, with an expanded capacity of 600 during Eid prayers. The nearest mosque within Brazil is 300 km away, while the center will also serve the Muslim community in Rio Grande do Sul, near the Uruguayan border, where the closest mosque from Uruguay is 500 km away. Given the growing Muslim population, there is an urgent need for a facility that provides a suitable religious and educational environment. Significance of the Project:

✅ Providing a proper place of worship for Muslims in the region, as they currently lack a fully equipped mosque with essential facilities.
✅ Supporting Dawah and educational activities that contribute to spreading Islamic teachings and educating new Muslims.
✅ Serving deceased Muslims as the project is located near a Muslim cemetery and includes a funeral washing facility.
✅ Establishing an Islamic center that offers Quran education, Islamic lectures, and funeral services, helping to preserve Islamic identity for future generations.
✅ Serving the Muslim community in Rivera, Uruguay, as it shares a border with Santana do Livramento, and the nearest mosque from Uruguay is 500 km away.

Project Components:

🕌 Mosque: A prayer hall accommodating 450 worshippers on regular days and 600 during Eid prayers.
🕌 Women’s Prayer Area: A dedicated space for women to perform prayers and attend religious lessons.
📖 Lecture Hall: Designed for Islamic and educational sessions.
📚 Educational Facilities: Offering Arabic language lessons and Islamic teachings.
🏢 Administrative Office: Managing the mosque’s activities and services.
🛗 Elevator: Facilitating movement for the elderly and people with disabilities, as the building is multi-story.

Activities & Services Offered:

✅ Daily prayers with a large congregation, including Friday prayers.
✅ Islamic studies courses covering Aqeedah, Fiqh, and Hadith.
✅ Quran memorization circles for both children and adults throughout the year.
✅ Arabic language courses for non-native speakers.
✅ Iftar programs during Ramadan.
✅ Humanitarian aid distribution to needy community members.
✅ Funeral washing services, followed by burial at the nearby cemetery.

First phase of the elevator installation
Architectural finishing and completion of the second floor
Electrical & plumbing installations for the second floor
Air conditioning, fire safety, and sound system setup (second floor)
Exterior finishing, furniture, and equipment

🔹 Phase Three: 40,000 KWD

🏗 Includes:

Second phase of the elevator installation
Plumbing, electrical, and air conditioning setup (third floor)
Final architectural finishing of the third floor
Sound system installation (third floor)
Furniture, equipment, and final exterior finishing
